Frequently asked questions

What is Ranknet?

A public board where products and X profiles pay for a rank. The highest confirmed bid sits at #1, every amount is visible, and anyone can take a rank by paying US$1 more than whoever holds it — US$5 more for #1.

How do I get traffic for a new product or SaaS?

Ranknet sends direct clicks: people browsing the board click through to the listings. A rank costs from US$5, goes live as soon as PayPal confirms the payment, and every listing's click count is public, so you can see what a position is worth before paying for it.

Do listings get a dofollow backlink?

No. Every outgoing link is marked sponsored nofollow and served with noindex. Paying for a link that passes ranking signals violates Google's link spam policies and would put both Ranknet and the buyer at risk. A rank buys visibility and direct clicks, not link equity.

What happens if someone outbids me?

Your rank drops but your listing stays on the board, and you can raise your bid at any time — raising only charges the difference. The all-time rank also counts how long you held #1, and time already served cannot be outbid.

Does my bid lose value over time?

Yes: 1% every day, and only once the live board completes its first 20 listings. What goes down is the bid's ranking value, not the money: nothing is charged and nothing is refunded, and the all-time rank keeps both what you paid and the time you held the top. It exists so that the top costs holding it, not just having bought it once; you recover by raising your bid, which charges only the difference.

How much does it cost to rank #1?

$50 right now. Taking #1 costs at least US$5 more than the leading bid; every other rank is taken with US$1 more than whoever holds it.
