Refund policy
A bid pays for the immediate publication of a listing and its placement under the current rules. This is what you buy, when the purchase is final, and when it is refunded.
What you purchase
- When a user pays a bid, the user purchases the immediate publication of a public listing and its placement under Ranknet's current bid rules. A listing's position is dynamic and may change when other valid, completed bids take a higher position.
- Before payment, the user must expressly agree: “I request that Ranknet begin providing the service immediately once my payment is confirmed by publishing my listing and applying my bid to the ranking.” Before opening PayPal, Ranknet will display the total amount, the amount to be charged, the USD currency, and the projected position.
The purchase is final
- Once PayPal confirms a payment and Ranknet correctly publishes the listing and applies the requested bid, the purchase is final. It is not refundable because of a change of mind, a user error in choosing a bid amount, voluntary listing removal, lower-than-expected traffic or clicks, later ranking changes caused by third-party bids, PayPal fees or currency conversion, or the user's breach of Ranknet's rules.
Material platform error
- Ranknet will review a refund request when a Ranknet technical error materially affects the ranking of a completed bid (a “Material Error”). Examples include charging an amount different from the one shown and approved, recording the same payment more than once, applying a bid to the wrong listing, failing to publish a completed bid, or applying an amount different from the one PayPal confirmed.
- Normal position changes caused by third-party bids, rule-based tie-breakers, user-submitted data, rule-enforcement blocks, PayPal outages, and reasonable moderation decisions are not Material Errors.
- When Ranknet verifies a Material Error, it will first attempt to correct the listing, bid, or ranking. If Ranknet cannot reasonably correct it within 24 hours after verification, or if a correction can no longer provide the purchased service, Ranknet will refund the amount actually charged for the affected bid increase to the original payment method where possible. Any mandatory right, warranty, charge reversal, or refund required by applicable law remains available.
Requesting a review
- Users may report a potential Material Error to pqr@digitalfuture.com.co, with the listed link or profile, PayPal transaction ID, approximate payment date, and an explanation.
- Users should report the issue as soon as reasonably possible; Ranknet recommends doing so within 7 calendar days. This recommendation does not limit mandatory legal rights. Ranknet will acknowledge the request and provide an initial decision within five business days.
Payments, reversals and mandatory rights
- A payment is not considered complete until Ranknet receives and validates PayPal's completed-capture event. If PayPal denies, reverses, disputes, refunds, or cancels a payment, Ranknet may suspend or remove the affected bid while it reviews the matter. This does not limit payer protections under applicable law or PayPal policies.
- This policy does not exclude or limit any non-waivable right under applicable law.
